Some might find it expensive but considering the amount one needs each time, this one pot will last you for a good time even if you use it daily.A few intense swatching minutes later, I selected two, Perky and Tailor Grey, utterly in love with the shades, I had to take them home and give them a deeper test: Why these two? I am attracted to pink corals and taupes, specially when they are both combined in the same look.

It provides and opaque base that helps eye shadows to looks vivid and bright. Which is something I struggle with most of the times. Pigmentation – Another benefit of MAC Painterly Paint Pot is the shade and how it cancels out eye lid darkness. Whether you love shimmer or matte eyshadow formulas, this one will work under any of them. Once set it doesn’t move and helps eye makeup to stay on throughout the day without creasing or fading. Best part is that it isn’t slippery and sets nicely under any eyeshadow formula. Texture & Formula – Painterly is matte and has a nice smooth texture. If you are planning to pick one shade then it has to be Painterly. I love wearing neutral eyemakeup looks and some times those matte shades need a sticky base to stick on to and work better. Shade – MAC Painterly is a fresh toned eyeshadow base, which works under almost any eyeshdaow color. There are regular paint pots and then there are pro longwear ones. During my last trip to MAC store I was fortunate enough to get last piece of this precious pot. Painterly was on my wishlist for a long time but due to its popularity I could never find it in stock. I have Indianwood Paint potand love it to the core. MAC Pain Pots are great eyeshadow base/primer and some of them are good enough to be worn alone.
